Christmas was a busy period as Lucy performed in 'The Princess Show' at the 'Yas Winter Carnival' and with the Jersey Quartet and Rollerboys for the 'New York, New Yor' event!

 

Lucy was delighted to be making a guest appearance at the Dubai World Trade Centre in the 'Alvin Pancito' concert. Alvin is known as the 'Singing Hero of Dubai', they first worked together on The Wizard of Oz in 2013 and have since appeared on stage together in The Sound of Music, West End to Broadway and The Rat Pack Live.

 

Lucy has been busy with lots of filming in the last few months. She plays Nancy in 'Movers and Shakers' a film written and directed by Ulas Atay of Globalist Films in which a journalist undercover an operation that puts her in great danger. She also plays Elizabeth Rosehill in the famous Hollywood sequel 'The Wedding Party - The Sequel' premiering in December 2017. 

 

Lucy was delighted to sing once more at the British Embassy in Dubai for 'The Angel Appeal' which raises money for The Seafarers Association.

 

In December 2016 amongst a series of concerts and events, Lucy directed produced and starred in The Rat Pack Show - Gala Night for the Dubai Winter Festival 2016. The show starred a host of West End singers, acts and dancers and was a big success!

 

Lucy recently appeared on adverts, billboards, on taxis and in Pan Emirates stores throughout the Middle East to promote the 30% Cashback campaign.

Lucy received a residency at the famous 'Siam Supper Club' in Phuket, Thailand this year. Singing for 5 weeks with the in house band.

 

NOTHING SHORT OF SENSATIONAL

Wonderful reviews for Lucy from the Dubai press for her role as Maria in 'The Sound of Music". The show played for 21 performances at the Madinat Theatre in April 2016.

THE LAST 12 MONTHS

In April 2016 Lucy completed the London Marathon in 4 hours and 45 minutes! 

 

Lucy sang at the Seafarers Ball at the British Embassy in February 2016. This is a huge charity event and one that Lucy is both honoured and delighted to sing for.

 

2015 was a busy year! Lucy finished a run of ANNIE in which she played Grace Farrell. The show was nominated for the 2015 Best International Theatrical Performance by Time Out Kids Dubai! Please visit the official website at www.annieonstage.com

 

In February 2015 Lucy was asked to direct The Big Pink Ball 2015 a wonderful evening raising huge amounts for charity.

 

In January 2015 Lucy wrote and produced West End to Broadway at Global Village, Dubai. The show was seen by over 8000 people and is currently being booked for other regions.

 

In November 2014, Lucy returned to the role of Maria in 'The Sound of Music'. The production played at the new 2300 seat, state of the art 'QNCC Theatre' in Doha, Qatar. For more information on the production please see the website at www.soundofmusicqatar.com

 

BABY MINE

After the birth of baby Charlie in 2013, Lucy was inspired to record an album of lullabies. 'Baby Mine' will be released on Itunes in the next 12 months. It is produced by The Audio Production Company with arrangements and accompaniment by the wonderful Anthony England.

 

THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD
Lucy has been very busy producing shows in the Middle East over the last 6 months - These have included the hugely successful The Wizard of Oz' in which she also starred as Glinda and a Middle East tour of ‘The Complete Works of William Shakepseare (Abridged)’ see www.wizardofozlive.com 

 

DIVAESQUE

Lucy has launched a new and exciting act to add to her portfolio. DIVAESQUE - Full details will be announced in May so watch this space. Lucy has been busy singing at various events... recent gigs include an evening at the British Embassy singing to raise funds for the Seafarers Association, the wedding of 'Shereen Mitwali', the Arab Business Awards (which she also hosted) and Kidsfest Abu Dhabi where Lucy performed 'Songs from the Princesses'.

 

THE HILLS ARE ALIVE IN BAHRAIN

In July, Lucy played Maria in her third run of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s ‘The Sound of Music’ at the 2000 seater BIECC in Manama, Bahrain. The show was the headline act of the summer festival and was a huge hit with audiences www.soundofmusicbahrain.com



THE BEST OF AWARDS

Lucy was chosen as the singer for ‘The Best of Abu Dhabi Awards 2012’ at the St Regis Saadiyat Island Hotel in May. The review said: ‘The veritable feast was devoured as singer Lucy Hunter-James wowed the crowd with her glorious voice, performing classics that ranged from the rat pack days to Adele’. In the last 12 months Lucy was selected to be the vocalist at a series of another ten award ceremonies throughout Dubai, these included The Hotelier Awards, The Arabian Business Awards and the Architect Awards. Other vocalist appearances including The QE2 New Years Eve Party, The Red Tie and Tara Ball, The Summer Party - Abu Dhabi, The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Ball with the Gypsy Kings, The CEO Forum with Mica Paris, The Grazia Style Awards, The Dubai International Film Festival and the USO Ball



AWARD WINNER

Lucy is delighted to announce that The Sound of Music won the Dubai Nightlife Award 2012 for The Best Theatrical Performance'. Lucy starred as Maria in 'The Sound of Music' at The First Group Theatre, Dubai in April and November 2011.

 

The production saw sell out performances, visits from both the Dubai and Abu Dhabi royal family, standing ovations and more. This was the most wonderful musical and a dream come true for Lucy to play the leading role. She hopes it will remain in the memory of the 10,000+ audiences who saw it. So Long Farewell. VIRTUAL PRESENTER AND HARVEY NIC'S WINDOW

Lucy could be seen playing a Marie Antoinette figure in the window of Harvey Nic's, Mall of the Emirates last year. The install drew lots of attention and was extremely successfulf or the season. Lucy could also be seen in Electronic Stores throuighout the Middle East as the Virtual Presenter for the New Intel Ultrabook.
